Working draft · Version draft-2026-10-24 · Not effective
Prohibited conduct
Participants must not impersonate another person, submit false permits or payment evidence, sell stolen or counterfeit goods, misstate product condition, manipulate reviews or complaints, harass others, share malware, scrape private data, evade account restrictions or direct Vuta transactions to an unapproved payment channel.
Products and content
The live prohibited and restricted goods list must be checked against Kenyan import rules and each relevant origin market before publication. Vendors must provide category-specific evidence when required. Vuta may quarantine media, request corrections, reject a listing or remove a published listing if evidence changes. Automated screening should not publish uncertain content without the agreed review gate.
Reports and enforcement
Buyers, vendors and shippers should have a way to report unsafe goods, fraud, abuse and misinformation. Vuta should preserve relevant evidence, restrict access proportionately, give reasons where safe, and provide a review or appeal route. Immediate holds may be necessary for safety, fraud or legal obligations. The final rules must define decision makers, notice periods and escalation windows.
No private enforcement promises
The preview does not operate a full moderation, buyer-abuse or case system. These rules describe the controls to approve and implement before live marketplace activity.
