Working draft · Version draft-2026-10-24 · Not effective
Two separate amounts
The planned purchase separates the KES product price paid at checkout from a later final shipping charge. The early shipping estimate is not the final payable amount. The live checkout must name the party collecting each payment, the purpose, the currency, the payable amount and any known fees before the buyer authorizes it.
Authorization and confirmation
A buyer authorizes only the exact payment shown for the relevant product or shipping obligation. A changed amount, recipient or quote version requires fresh review and authorization. Vuta should confirm receipt through the payment provider and its own records before marking an obligation paid. Redirects, screenshots and text messages alone do not establish payment.
Failed, duplicate and late payments
The live service must explain what happens when an attempt is pending, fails, is duplicated or arrives after a quote expires. Funds received without a matching valid obligation should enter a reconciliation and resolution process, not silently create an order. Provider and bank response times, fees and refund capabilities remain to be confirmed.
Refunds and payout
Buyer refunds are addressed in the returns and refunds policy. Vendor and shipper payouts are subject to their agreements and separate approval and reconciliation controls. Vuta does not promise immediate onward payment or describe the arrangement as escrow in this draft.
Review items
Payment providers, merchant account holder, settlement route, chargeback allocation, collection wording and confirmation notices must be approved before publication. No real payment is taken by the preview.
