Working draft · Version draft-2026-10-24 · Not effective
Reasons to raise a case
A buyer should be able to report a missing, wrong, damaged, defective or unavailable item, a disputed shipping charge, or a cancellation request. Vuta should link the case to the order, the accepted listing and the available evidence. The complaint window, cancellation rights by stage and evidence deadlines remain to be set.
Review and remedy
Vuta should investigate with the vendor and shipper where relevant, explain the decision and provide a route to question it. The final policy must distinguish repair, replacement, return, partial refund and full refund; identify who pays return freight and customs; and address partial fulfillment and loss in transit. Remedies must preserve rights that applicable law does not allow a contract to waive.
Refund destination and timing
The intended control is to refund the original payment method and reference where supported. A different recipient needs a separately verified exception process. The provider's supported refund methods, deadlines, fees and treatment of product versus shipping payments are not yet confirmed. No fixed refund date is promised by this draft.
Rejected or unavailable goods
If a vendor cannot supply the purchased item, Vuta needs a documented cancellation, procurement and refund process. The buyer must not be shown a paid or fulfilled state based only on a redirect, screenshot or preview record. The final policy must allocate the resulting costs between Vuta, vendor and shipper.
